Be Holy, for I am Holy

“You are Holy, you are Holy", these are lyrics to a worship song that I have been listening to recently.

Papa (God) is Holy (sacred, set apart) “I am the Lord, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.”( Is 43:15 NKJV) Having recently recently read Chronicles where Uzzah was struck down for having touched the Ark of the covenant with his hands.
Why would God do that …?
God is Holy, the Ark was Him, it was His presence. Uzzah was not anointed so essentially he was dirty and God being Holy can not be touched by what is not holy. All this was under the Old Mozaic agreement. Under the New Covenant, Christ died for us and gave us His righteousness meaning we can now approach God’s presence without feeling guilty.
What a contrast that now Papa loves me and you so much that He sanctified us so that we can dwell together to a point that His Spirit freely lives within you and l.
“but as He who called you is Holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” I Peter 1:15-16 NKJV
“Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NLT
“Your own law says that if two people agree about something, their witness is accepted as fact. I am one witness, and my Father who sent me is the other.” John 8:17-18 NLT
John 8:17 - 8 confirms the fact that we are sanctified and holy for Papa is a witness of this and so is the Holy Spirit. As you walk today walk in acknowledgement of the fact that you have been set apart for the Glory of God, you are Holy, not just a mere human but the holy son of God!
Have a blessed day!
Amazing we have been brought forth not by the will of filthy men, but by the incorruptible word of God. How can we afford not to be holy when we are born of God. Those who are born of the devil are liars like their father , let us imitate God as dear children.
